What it does
Your GM truck or SUV uses Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) to shut off cylinders to save a little fuel. The trade-off is the shudder, hesitation, and "4-cylinder drone" you feel — plus the collapsed-lifter failures these systems are notorious for.
The AFM/DFM Disabler plugs into your OBD-II port and tells the ECU to keep every cylinder active, all the time — smooth, consistent power on every drive. It doesn't reflash or permanently alter your computer. Unplug it and you're back to factory in seconds.

Frequently asked questions
Will this void my warranty or change my ECU?
No. The disabler doesn't reprogram or permanently flash your computer — it sends a live signal while plugged in. Unplug it and your vehicle returns to its exact factory settings.
Is it hard to install?
No tools and no mechanic needed. Plug it into the OBD-II port (usually under the driver-side dash) and you're done in under a minute.
Why disable AFM/DFM at all?
AFM/DFM shuts down cylinders to save a small amount of fuel, but it's widely linked to lifter failure and creates a noticeable shudder and power hesitation. Disabling it keeps the engine running the way it does on full power.
Can I take it out later?
Yes — it's fully reversible. Many owners move it between vehicles or remove it before service. Factory behavior returns the moment it's unplugged.
Will it fit my vehicle?
